MY LIBRARY

MY LIBRARY
by Varda One
| It's only a room with shelves and books, but it's far more magical than it looks It's a jet on which I soar Or a key with which I find Building my habit of learning and growing, Here, I've been a mermaid and an elf I think that I shall never see With encouraging kind friends with wit It's only a room with shelves and books, but it's far more magical than it looks. |
Resignation of Library Trustee, Betty VanHellen
It is with great sadness that the Library announce the resignation of long time board member and Friend of the Library, Mrs. Betty VanHellen. Mrs. VanHellen has been involved with the Library for many years, serving on the Library Board for over 35 years. She was an avid reader, and great supporter of the original library building in 1983 and the renovation in 2003. Mrs. VanHellen served as President, Vice President and Treasurer and also on many committees. She has been unflagging in her support of the Library. Her contributions to the Library and to the community through her works at the Library are immeasurable. She will be greatly missed both for her service and her cheerful spirit.
Bridgman Public Library Presents
COASTLINE CHILDREN'S FILM FESTIVAL
The mission of the Coastline Children's Film Festival is to bring high quality independent films and animation for children and young adults to Berrien County and to present them - on the big screen - as shared theatrical experiences for the whole family and community. The anchor event for the organization is an annual festival held over the first two weeks of February, in locations throughout the county, with occasional screenings of films, in between the core festival. Recognizing that film and animation are still among the most accessible and innovative media for the communication of stories and ideas, both historical and contemporary, the CCFF also sees the provision of educational opportunities as central to its mission. Alongside the screening of animated and live action films, features, shorts and documentaries, our festival particpants will have the opportunity to learn about the history of the medium, as well as the craft of filmmaking through hands-on workshops and filmmaker presentations.WE'VE GOT CHOCOLATE!!
