Public Library Website

What is MeLCat?
MeLCat is a statewide catalog of books, CDs, DVDs and more. MeLCat is the new way to borrow materials not available from your home library. By following the instructions printed below, Bridgman and Lake Township residents may access MeLCat online and borrow items located throughout the state of Michigan.

Participating MeLCat libraries have agreed to share their materials with other libraries, creating a resource sharing system for the entire state of Michigan. Patrons will be responsible for initiating their own requests and items will be delivered to their home library via a statewide delivery system.

Patrons must have a current library card, and be in good standing  for at least 30 days before using MeLCat.

Patrons are responsible for:
  1. Keeping their contact information up to date.
  2. Returning MeLCat items to the library which obtained the material for them on or before the due date.
  3. Paying any late fees, damage or replacement costs.
